The Machakos County Chess Association (Machachess) is the official body mandated to promote, organize, and grow chess within Machakos County.

• Nurture talent and support grassroots development.
• Make chess a tool for education, recreation, and community building.
• Organize sanctioned events and provide resources for chess enthusiasts.

Established in 2024 under Kenya's Sports Act 2013, Machachess brings chess closer to local communities through decentralized leadership and elected officials.
